PT. SOUTHEAST ASIA PIPE INDUSTRIES (SEAPI). Is subsidiary Company of PT. Bakrie Pipe Industries (BPI) and owned by PT. Bakrie Brothers Tbk, which has already in steel pipe business since 1959.

SEAPI was established since 1996 and start it's commercial production by July 1999.

On February 2001, Seapi signed on agreement with PT. TENARIS, one of the largest world pipe producers. The agreement involved management assistance, technical assistance and marketing assistance. This agreement was ended by 2003.

As indicated by its name, SEAPI is designed to service major customers in South East Asia Region.
